How we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit, reserve, or join the Dabney & Co. community.
We’re a cocktail bar, not a data company. This policy explains how Dabney & Co. (“Dabney,” “we,” “us”) — operated by Public Skool LLC, 344 N Rose St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 — collects, uses, and protects the information you share when you contact us, submit an event inquiry, reserve a table, subscribe, or visit our site. We handle it with the same care we put into everything else, and you have real choices about it.
To respond to your inquiry, plan and coordinate your event, send you a confirmation, and — only if you opt in — share occasional news of events and happenings at Dabney & Co. We may also use it to maintain records, prevent fraud or abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Only with the trusted service providers that help us operate, and only as needed to provide our services or where required by law. These include OpenTable (reservations), Brevo (email and newsletters), Toast and Stripe (payments), PostHog (site analytics), and Vercel (hosting). Each receives only the information needed for its role and may use it only as we direct. They have their own privacy practices, which govern the data they process.
We only send marketing email to people who have opted in. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing message, or by emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages, such as a confirmation of an inquiry you submitted.
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, through PostHog, to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may behave differently.
We keep your information only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide our services, and satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may object to or restrict certain uses. Residents of California, the EU/UK, and other regions may have additional rights under applicable law — contact us using the details below to exercise them.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it. Dabney & Co. is a 21-and-over establishment; our site and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
